White ZZ German This very unusual White was made in Germany when White contracted to have their machines made there. Could not find a trace of information on this model till I noticed the manual for the Domestic sewing machine made in Cleveland, Ohio. It was the same machine but for the name tag and slightly different knobs and handles. Domestic became a subsidiary of WHITE in 1924 and were sold to Sears Department stores by White. This machine was listed as described in the manual as a treadle sewing machine. The motor now on the sewing machine is an add on by others than WHITE probably. Never the less it is very well made and perfect for treadle use and is a rotary action. The price is $180.00 and will work well in the special re-built White treadle on another page of this site if it is not sold. |
