Singer W12-10
This is a 'Singer'? Yes Singer just purchased the Wheeler and Wilson Sewinfg Machine Co. Everthing on this machine is a Wheeler & Wilson W12-10 with a SINGER badge painted on the arm. This machine was so badged in 1905 when Singer purchased Wheeler & Wilson. This is a industrial treadle with reverse. Quiet rare and quiet prized. Its a very high quality machine.

This machine and its treadle were in a tailor shop for several decades. New parts still are available so we put it back together. The price is $265.00.

Top opened up to full size. This machine will use large needles that can stitch very heavy material with ease. Note that the treadle is off set to the left side so operator is in front of needle area. Important for spending long periods working the treadle.

Closeup of the head and a good view of the surface of the top. Notice the very large space under the arm for a quilt to rest while stitching. Found a sourse for needles and presser feet so it is now ready to sew.

This small trap door near the sewing machine head opens to the bobbin area. Plenty of room for large hands to change out large bobbins. This is a nice machine to use for long periods. Everthing about it is for real use.

The small trap door is open to the area under the bobbin and hook area. This area was rebuilt to match the way it was first made.

View of the bobbin case locked in the race. Good engineering for 100 plus years ago. This is a very nice sewing machine.

The lever that locks the bobbin case in place is in the open and down position. The bobbin case can be removed in this position. This is a rotary system and very smooth stitching.

The drive wheel is larger than a home model which is near 13" in diameter and drives the industrial machine with enough force to power a strong machine. Note this industrial is on wheels so it is easy to roll about.

The drawer is in place in this picture. The original was missing and this is the drawer Singer used on treadles. Looks fine.

Lots of 'stuff' can store in this large drawer. Found parts needed for this old industrial. Have needles, bobbins, presser feet and other needed parts used in the cabinet.
